Problem
Our project partner was a large non-profit organization based in the UK. They are made up of several care homes that look after mental health and patients with other conditions such as epilepsy. They needed a system to monitor patients continuously.
My Role
I joined the team at a later stage as a UX designer. Therefore, I had to come up to speed quickly.
I went through the project brief and the research data, and I attended meetings with our project partner. After that, I participated in two design sprints with the other designers and developers. Finally, I created user flow diagrams and high-fidelity prototypes. We continued to meet with the project partner to collect feedback and redesign the prototype.
Solution
We have created a product called WellOnTrack, a behavioural monitoring system for vulnerable adults. It works by picking up changes in otherwise regular movements via a wristband connected to GPS.
The device is a wristband connected to a web browser and a mobile application dashboard. The product can monitor anything unusual by studying the user’s typical behaviour through machine learning.
